To hijack a thread-I have an original XL500 that I am in need of the underwater headphones. Is there anyone out there with a set to sell? or know of a possible conversion to something more contemporary?

Same here....just got an XL500 from ebay and in need of a coil/rods/headphones and a suggestion on new batteries and charger. Can those connectors used on headphones still be found...Garrett still have them??

If it is the older one, with the flat black with 3 holes, 1 for an alignment pin and 2 thicker holes for the wire plugs, yes, Ikelite made them. Ikelite still sells them. There are some older muffs and coils around I am sure. If it is the newer 2 level with 1 hole in each level, you can still get those from the factory.
