Received another new permission today, at a 1804 House thats been in same family for over 100 years.
I hunted it for a few hours this morning.
These are the only things I found with about 15 wheats.
They were only a few inches under.
I know there has to be more there, just need some rain.
You would think I should find some buttons, buckle pieces, pottery shards. But nope!
Will see, ill go back after some big rain..
Enjoy the pics.
George

I'd take that any day but definitely odd being that the site is so old.

Good job george, yet another good silver day for ya, I've sold my equipment and now knit scarves, lol

Well could you knit a blanket for my Deus???? Lol
Thanks Chris.

Not many people complain 'bout finding a silver half, lol. It could always be worse George. Check the forum for posts from me...

Iam not complaining Dave..Its was great to see that big one in the hole.
Just being at a site like that I was EXPECTING a little earlier. Lol
Oh also, it might not be you, it might be that American made detector????
Lol.. J.K...

Great finds in my book. Makes sense to me you have to clean off the top layer of finds before the older ones will be exposed. I predict older silvers on your next hunt there. Keep hunting.

Cool looking navy button.

Heck since I never get out anymore I might as well lol

Whoo hooooo! Yeah bud!!

Nice permission, You've pulled some sweet silvers and wheats, :occasion14: I bet you'll find and IHP or 2 at that site.

Nice job on the silver and especially the half--I've only found one half so far...probably passed over the rest :laughing7: With the age of that house I'm sure you'll be pulling some banner finds in no time. That's a great age for a property for finding Colonial and post-Colonial coins/items.

That's a good looking hunt right there, bet you can't wait to get back. I think I'm gonna pull my hair out if I go yet another year without finding a Walker...honestly lol

Great digs(for Tom) Did you throw those in your junk bin? :laughing7: Man that ground does look hard and dry. Maybe you should try the water...soon

Very nice hunt,, for some reason,, I seem to be finding more Halves this year than ever before. Not complaining.
The Walker and the Mercury Dime are two of the prettiest and my favorites.
No coincidence,, they were designed by the same person: Adolf Weinman

You have any idea what it's like turning on my phone in the morning to see a text saying............."The walker half was my first target. The Washington quarter my second target, and shortly thereafter the Roosevelt dime. And all the texts with photos spanning less then an hour? I have just two words for you Mr. Vino and YOU know what they are!!!

I cringe every time I get a text from George because I know its going to piss me off. "Oh look, I just found a Mayan Gold throne inlaid with Silver roman coins. I wonder how that got to nEast PA?" Lol

Great silvers. The Walkers are really coming thru again this year.
