You know what they say, move it or lose it. They sell out real fast. March 19, 8:00 am

Minelab must be very happy. I am stocking up on popcorn and soda for the detector wars later this fall when the other manufacturers gear up to meet this new product line.

Detector wars! Ought to be priceless.

I'm with you Smokey. It will be like "Godzilla vs the Giant Crab". Lol Consumers will sit back, watch, and enjoy the show as it unveils itself before us. It will be a great place to be.

Delvdog, this is going to be priceless later this year. One thing I thought about. If a lot of the dry sand diggers get an Equinox (I don't like 'Nox' especially), well anyway, and they move to the wet sand, the dry sand diggers are going to clean up. There is a lot of competition at the beaches these days. I prefer the dry and only do the wet when I'm bored. I can go very fast in the dry sand.

I am mostly a relic Hunter personally. I have been watching videos to see how the Equinox has done as far as relics. I own and use the Whites MXT PRO and I still like the MXT. I don't know that I'd ever part with it, but I still enjoy watching videos when something new comes out. To be honest, I'm not convinced that I could get more depth with the Equinox with the 11' coil that I can get with my MXT PRO using the D2 10' coil and the 13' Ultimate Coil. The MXT is pretty impressive.

I will also "sit back and watch"...

White Russian anyone ?

I heard of some NEW technology today, I will get some details in the next day or two. Adapted to a metal detector, it will actually let us see what is in the ground before we dig it. That will make everything we have now obsolete. I'll post it as soon as my techie source sends me the rest of the info. We think 2-4 years for implementation into the metal detecting market assuming one company or another pays the price for the patent.

Im not sure that 'war' will break out. It would be fun but the new Nokta has been completely overshadowed by the Equinox. First Texas have been asleep at the wheel for years and whites prices along with Tesoro are just still too high in my opinion....making them appear bad value. Garrets AT MAX was underwhelming, the Impact was obsoleted by the kruzer... VERY interesting times. Im also waiting to see how the year pans out. I think FT will have to pull a rabbit out of their hat to keep up in this price range now.
