Want to See What a Pinpointer Can Do?

This is the result of 2 hours using only my pinpointer and a trowel, which was a fun experiment I would recommend to anyone (it helps if you know a spot where there's a lot of metal in the ground, don't try it on a field hunt). Sure there are no gold coins or diamond rings, and yes, a fancy machine will improve your odds to a point, but you can still find a whole lot of targets with just a little metal detector. I suspect where you look is more important than what you bring to look with (within reason).

Anyway, thought you all might get a kick out of this.

I did that around a tree lots of nails kept me from finding the better stuff I did that found buttons thimbles a small brass ring there is more there I just can’t get under the oak tree. Just don’t do like me and the hole get away from ya chasing targets. Gotta go back and fill in.
