Wasbuska, Nevada-- Churchill Canyon

Anyone ever prospected this area north of Yerington, Nv. I heard there was some placer Gold but no reports I could find. Any info would be appreciated.

Never in that canyon but many days in the pinnut range. Load and placer are there but nothing in my limited experience has me going back to the same place to mine.

Over 10 years ago, I made 2 trips into that area with a MD buddy. We accessed the low hills just west of the beginning of Mason Pass road. He had been there previously and got a couple of gram wt. chunky pieces. He had heard of 2 oz. nuggets being found in years past. We spent a total of 10 hours beeping, and exploring that area, but got skunked. Since then, an outfit bought the claim/ground and purchased a large trommel from another mining friend to place on the ground out there. That's where the story ends, as I have no updates since. As for Churchill canyon itself, I have no info.
