Wasn't on the Copper Trail today but dug some holes
Wasn't out with Ironhorse today, and the Copper Trail will likely resume early next week, but yesterday my grey ghost ndt cord went and it was only then did I realize how much I do not like using any other headphones. I have three other cords but think they all had problems, I have just procrastinated about sending them in. Anyway, it was a great excuse to get out and test them to see if I have one that will get me through the rest of the year, or the alternative, get a few hours under my cheap phones to get used to them. Turns out I do have a cord that will last as it only crackles slightly... so that was good, but what was just as good is I actually found some cool stuff. First pic is the finds that didn't make the cut, including rotted 3 coppers. Next a swastika pin, which I was hoping would say something, but does not, and not sure if it ever did. Next a number 8 enfield bullet, then what I assume is a British Militia button, just having a crown. Last is my two finds of the day.... a two piece 15th Regiment button. It's a little on the rough side, but extends my streak to 3 hunts that I dug a military button I have not dug before. And to finish a nice early sword hanger. Too bad these things aren't marked because given the location I found it, if it had a unit engraved into it, I bet it would be a good one. So that was the day and am looking forward to getting back on the Trail and checking a few more places I have researched.
