It would be up to the claim owner to make a complaint russau.

Only the claim owner has the legal ability to enforce his rights. The police can't do anything unless the owner makes a complaint. :sadsmiley:

Not justifying ignorance but mybe hes unaware its claimed or mybe he has permission from its owner not taking sides just food for thought

Police have absolutely no jurisdiction on BLM/FS lands in kalif. THANX MUCH FOR PICS ,copied and being sent out and included in my SOB file many MANY thanx-kudos-John

Clay I agree with you! I should have been clearer on my point! and I also agree with you John! know the facts before you act! like in Misery!:)

yeah, i should have done a better job in posting this
I was down on the river workin on my Siphon System, when i saw this guy up on the road over lookin my claim, he was pointing to different parts of the river and so, i yelled up to him asking if i could help him, i couldn’t hear him really good so i started working my way to the rope hanging over the road side and i mention this is a mining claim he come backs with no this is open and thats when i pointed to my marker/ monument, before i reached the rope he was gone,
Two days later i hook up with a friend detecting, and he mention to me about this white truck, how this guy has been on other claims getting chased off, well put 2 n2 together
But after the picture has been taken i have not seen him
Law enforcement told me its civil matter

2c ,it could also be a tire store matter

LMAO, thanks for the tip, but i think my taking a picture may have taken care of the prob, it's 62 miles round-trip to my upper claim and have not seen him anywhere on HWY 49

I have never accidentally or intentionally mined a claim, I look all around me for signs and monument markers.
I also ask my fellow miners if I am unfamiliar with an area, John knows this because I have asked him a few times about places. :)

RESPECT YOUR FELLOW HARD WORKING PROSPECTOR!

Yup, a visit to the tire store should be in store for that guy, AAA would have to say "Hi" to him first. :D

This would be a better option for him, but this would also be a great option for those who leave their vehicle unattended for any length of time while out prospecting. $45.00
