Here's the sequel to last weeknds hunt as we returned with some good friends to a union civil war camp we found recently along the South Carolina coast.Come join us for some detecting as we discover some of what these New Yorkers and Connecticut soldiers left behind as they camped at this spot down in the lowcountry way back in 1863. Hope you enjoy it!

Hey bud ,

yeah that's the second time I've hunted with Alan. We got together once last year down around charleston and dug some flat buttons. Joey and Kandi know him real well and talk to him all the time. He is a real nice guy no doubt about it. I know he loves to hunt along a certain beach and since last year he has done really well. I've seen his rings and knicknacks and man that beach has been good to him. He started out down in this camp moving here, moving there . He dug a couple of bullets but no buttons. He had the etrac with this really big coil on it. I told him to go hunt in a certain area as I knew he'd dig him a button. Oh about 20 minutes later he walks up with that huge navy and he dug it deeeeeeep! Man he was happy and that made his trip. Small world aint it? :laughing7: Thanks for the nice comments and good luck diggin we'll talk to ya later,

Pete

Hey Greg, How are ya? I run mine on 40 41 disc and at that I still hit an occasional deep big square nail. Not a lot but they will give a good signal to start with sometimes, but be very deep. Now Richard runs his at 33 , man if I ran mine that low I'd be digging the heck out of deep nails! I do know that mine has the 3.0 program in it and Richards is the 4.0. We checked them and that's the difference. I will say mines plenty deep and has surprised the heck out of me a few times comparing signals with other machines. The 2 GB pros I have are awsome I love em! Take care bud,

Pete

Thanks for the input...not sure which program mine is running, is there a way to check by serial number? Got a few LC sites lined up as soon as deer season is done, so I'll finally get the GB down in some sugar sand! We're doing well here. Wales is in his 3 month down time now, and will kick it in gear for his senior season...lot's of MLB scouts already talking to him...but main goal is to go be a tiger first, then he can cash a pay check. ha! (and then buy dad a nice LC plantation)

That coil weighs more than he does :laughing9: Alan is good people, keep digging with him.. By the way, the town he lives in had a Revolutionary War-era Muster House... You ought to convince him to get out in the fields around there and join him  Also a church built in the 1750's still standing, idBet there's some KILLER stuff around there

OHHHHHHHhhhhh!! :o Those gold buttons are amazing! :o What a great place to be digging for relics!

Congrats to you and your group on those stellar finds!
