~Gold Day at the Lake With Friends~

I really don't know how this day could have been any better. The weather was perfect, I met new (old) friends and I found a keeper or two. :icon_sunny:

A few of us met up at the lake to hunt a while. George, Tim, Greg and his son and Kent and Mark along with their boys and I spent the afternoon hunting. And yes, WSD, you were there in thought....and conversation. :-*

I've talked to Kent on Tnet many years, but never had the opportunity to meet him. He finally had a break in his busy schedule and came along for the hunt. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you and Mark too.

(I think Mark has the treasure bug, btw. When it was time to go, he quickly asked when we all were hunting again.)

My thoughts exactly, Mark. Fun to dig, huh. :icon_pirat:

The water was down a bit, so we decided to see if anyone had lost any goodies over the summer swim season. Yup! Sure did. :icon_pirat:

George found a very pretty gold ring! :icon_thumright:

I found several rings, change and lots of fishing weights and twice as many pull tabs.

Had so much fun today! Let's do it again soon! :hello:

Congrats on a great hunt with some great finds Nana. You can sell that gold and buy Charlie a new truck for Christmas-LOL. I didn't see any snakes there either. We had frost here this am. WTG, Q. (Brad).

My camera has died and my wife says a new one is "not in the budget", until Christmas if I'm a good boy.

I guess I should make Nana some cookies or sump'n. Maybe at the next meeting. :wink:

Happy fer you guys.Nana,once you got the training wheels off that detector you have been shootin' the eyes out of that ground.Just like Annie Oakley,little miss sure shot!Congrats on the rings!I really thought seriously 'bout drivin' down but then remembered that if Dixie's paw wasn't better by Mon am,I would have to take her back to the vet,as it turns out the steroids and 'biotics are working good and she is ahealin'.With all the zipper pulls,you might get ME22 down there.Great finds,guys :thumbsup:

Nana we had a blast! It was great to meet you, George, Tim and Greg. Every time I mentioned "approaching darkness" and the fact that we would leave in a few minutes the boys would all say "awww". So with flashlights we stayed until after 8:00. It was a great day. Ashton was still talking about it this morning. I'm looking forward to the next hunt and I'll try to post my pics in a day or two.

The two beaches near my home,Pleasent Hill & Charles Mill are state parks, with signs that read "No Metal Detectors ALLOWED" THAT SUCKS!!!

Rangers told me about 10yrs. ago, that too many people dident fill in thier plugs on the beach & grass! Ruined it for everyone!!!
