Wax Seal Key FOB

I found this on Thursday at a house that was on the 1856 map here in NE Ohio. It is a wax seal that was carried as a fob on a watch chain. It is a little worse for wear but to think that someone used this to seal their mail is really interesting to me. Just sharing. Perhaps someone would have a better idea of the date which I think is mid 1800's??
