We Found a Skirmish Site!

Tony and I got out for a full day of swinging (15.4km walked) to our new mega site. There were some fields to the far west on the site so those were our targets today. Long walk but we picked up a couple keepers for our troubles. Find of the day was identifying a new English and French Skirmish site. Together we found close to 100 musket balls in both English and French calibres in a very small area of the field. There are a couple well know skirmish sites in this area but this one is new. We ran out of time before finishing so we'll make that a priority this spring!

Thanks for all the great comments. I'll be heading back to the site later this week. We may have even found another site on the way out from this one so that will bear some investigation as well.

BTW...my take in musket balls was 48 in just over an hour. Not a bad little pile!
