Colonial wax seal Matrix and another first!
We probed out a spot that we thought was the privy to out favorite 1700s site. Come to find out, it makes much more sense that it was the summer kitchen. We did dig a ton of pottery and the bottom of an early bottle. What tipped it off was the amount of utensils! We dug 4 colonial 2 prong forks, 3 dinner knives, one with an intact bone handle!! Dug a slew of buttons out of there as well. One find that is a first for me, and a heartbreaker at the same time, is a colonial wax seal matrix. It is smashed together and the stone is gone, but it's still pretty. Nabbed a few coins too. Good times! Now I need a nap lol.
