Weekend finds, a little silver and (updated)no gold

Hello!!

I got out twice this weekend, about 6 hours hunting time. Hit the last three schools I haven't searched in the district I had the good luck at last weekend. Did a lot of digging again, lots of targets and some good luck. It was really nice out there too as rain was forecast but it held off for me. I had fun!

I managed a few keepers luckily. A pretty 925 ring that had 5 CZ's but one is missing. I sifted through the area for about ten minutes but couldn't find it. I also got another 925 earring with a large CZ stone. Finally, a pretty butterfly pin stamped Mexico on the back with mother of pearl wings. I think it's copper.

Dug a lot of coins, 225 total for exactly $16.00 clad value. Also got a German 1 pfennig coin and 3 quarter tokens, 1 chuckie cheese and two others. On the trinket side, I found over 40 junk jewelry pieces including a cool Shark ring. It has it's mouth open so the finger comes through it. I also got a very think silver colored bracelet, stainless I guess, and apretty cheapo chain with dangling gemstone crystals.

Update 9/25/06-
I scoped the "Ugly" "gold" ring today at work and found out that I had made a mistake IDing it. It did not say 416 (10kt) it says Y/G. That's why it's so ugly I guess...lol. Sorry about the wrong identification of the gold , not gold.

Yes, it was nice, kind of windy Sunday,
but mild at least. Great to be outdoors!
Dang winter is coming, no detecting, boohoo.
But fall is my fave season
and I enjoy the beauty of it all too.

I had just went to the coinstar last week
... full clad bin = $132
so my clad bin was empty and lonely,
started the climb back to fillin er up again nicely huh!

nice finds Bdoo. Do you dig all your signals. I usally ignore the iron/foil signals but after reading all of your finds I am thinking I might need to start diggin these too. Here in San Diego, Ca all the schools are fenced in and off limits inside the fence. You can hunt the parks. I am still learning how to hunt in the parks and play grounds. Hey Bdoo, that German coin is a steel slug with a copper foil pressed over it, they rot out here in the ground. I had to throw away about 10 lbs worth of small German coinage that was rotted out when we went to the Euro. HH, Mike
