Weekend Hunts

[Carolina Tom]

Saturday:
Todd Lipe took me hunting on Saturday. He is an awesome guy!
We hit a couple of different places. I got a Merc and war nickel in the same hole, first time I have ever gotten two silvers out of one hole. I also got the thimble from the Monopoly game, clock gear, .22 pistol cylinder, wheatie, lighter, old broken ring and (drum roll please) 1940 German 10 Pfennig coin... featuring eagle and swastika! This site has yielded other WWII stuff, I assume that a soldier brought this souvenir home from the war.

Sunday:
I met Smittyman on Sunday mid morning for a little hunting. I found the usual nonsense... keys, dog tags, hunk of metal that says "LEE" on it and some clad. Then the magic happened and a shiny coin appeared! It is amazing how much better the day seems, after you find a silver coin.

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Awesome finds! It is amazing that silver comes out of the ground still shining! A super spill!
That is a cool 1940 Germany coin, the stories it could tell! Neat lighter too!
Awesome hunts you had! Congrats!

Is the gun barrel from a toy? Ok it's real, I should have read further.

Maybe Todd will "leave" a gold coin behind for you.

[Old Dude]

Pretty good hunts Tom. 3 silvers in a weekend is getting harder and harder to do.
