Hey everyone

I will be in Benicia CA the weekend of Oct. 24 and was wondering if there was anywhere that a guy could do a little panning, sniping or if anybody could use a hand dry washing, I would love to get in a day of gold play while I am down there.

From Benicia it is a 2 hour drive to the motherload.
Head East on I80 until you see the Sierras.
North and south Forks of the American River are your best choices if you don't want to spend all day driving.
Although I've read of gold deposits in the Bay Area hills and in Napa Valley, pretty sure you won't find any gold in the creeks there.
