Weekends Civil War Relic Hunt

[James from TN]

Had to get out with the cool temps we have been having lately and before deer season opens. Didn't find much but was great being in the woods again. Did manage a brass butt plate stamped with a "B" and has a six pointed star carved into it on Saturday. Can anyone ID what type of gun this would have gone to? Sunday found a CS scabbard tip. Only the 2nd one I have ever found. Of course I was hoping for a button or plate but was happy with my meager finds. Also managed a Godlukk token. Think it is from the early 1900's. Thanks for looking and good luck if you get out. James

A plate could be there with all that large brass youve recovered! It has potential keep diggin!

Nice stuff. Love the butt plate.
I found a part of one awhile back but a whole one is excellent.

What part of TN you in?

Great relics James. Good eye on that star carving.
I'm still looking for a scabbard tip.
Congrats,
