Picked these up at a bit more than I would have liked to spend but I should have silver value over what I payed for sure. 29.99 was the price.
I dont know if I should scrap or resell....they are fairly dinged up and one has that crunched up resin sound.

Thoughts?

$29.99 for the lot is a decent deal. Hard to tell how big they are from the pictures. If they are about 6" tall and 6" diameter you are probably looking at 4-7 troy ounces. I've never had any luck selling these f they have any damage at all.

I was estimating about 2 oz for each one when I was debating on buying. The middle one weighed out to 59.49 grams.

Good guess from the crap photos BTW. You were pretty close with your dimensions!

So my past three silver scores I knew they were legit when I first picked them up...you'll get there eventually...took me a while. Seeing the stamps just makes you even more pumped up after you have that first impression from sight and touch.

But now I stop at random times as I pass...not a deliberate hunt unless it's sunday!

It's already in scrap condition, going to melt a big ingot over the holiday break so I dont have all this loose stuff.

Just got done with my first attempt at melting scrap into an ingot. I've had a 50 dollar giftcard in my wallet for almost a year so I bought a small crucible and mold kit.

Overall the pour sucked...however there was no damage to equipment or injury to personnel haha.

Used a small furnace for heat treating metal for the heat source. Since the crucible was so small it wasn't able to maintain a liquid state long enough for a good pour. I stamped it and I'll keep this one since it was my first.

I need a bigger mold and crucible, it would make everything alot easier and more worthwhile. Learning small though then I'll move to bigger pours.

I invest in bullion, so when I can get some at 1-14 dollars under spot it just goes into the vault.

I don't know what I would do to verify if I ever decide to sell besides an acid test kit. Thats the only thing I have. Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm looking long term 40 years down the road, giving stuff to my kids and such.

It has been my experience that weighted pieces are 10% 925. I just skin everything and pound it flat. When I get a fair amount I send it to my refinery in Dallas or to a guy in Alabama. He will refine and send me proof 999 rounds.

I try to pay as little as possible, just depends on size, $2 to $5 to $10.
I once paid around $25 for a 6 candle candleabra. It was bent and dented. Got around 3 ounces after a lot of work.
