It's been so hot here in California that a friend and I found a small park with plenty of shade trees to hunt. It was loaded with modern pennies and trash. During the cleaning process, this strange coin appeared. It's aluminium, about penny size. On one side is a German eagle and the words Ost Reich Republik on the reverse, a large 5, the date 1950, a wreath on the bottom and the words, Groschen. Is this an East German coin? Sorry, but I still can't do pictures.
