So i got this mixed in with my other boxes today from one of my regular banks ( Brinks bank) it was a sealed box, not resealed, sealed with the brown paper tape. You can see what was inside of it. Now, I've had the yellow wraps in a sealed brinks box before, but never a mix of them. Someone really took some time to sit and get these really crimped back down like this. I hope they are wasting a lot of time doing this and less time searching because of it. I am kinda surprized because I don't typically get these from Brinks, it seems Garda is the big offender in my area. The box also had this written on top of it " Run 1" I hope it's not the first of several runs coming out lol.

On a side note, got a call from the Garda bank vault teller today ( the really cool one), she was cool enough to do a test order earlier this week for me to see if they would send more of the repacked Brinks boxes again this week, sure enough, the 2 boxes that she did her test order with came in repacks of Brinks again! She has definetily gone above and beyond for me! She said she was going to call a dif number she got today for her Central Vault and see if she could talk to someone else about the problem. I definetly give her kudos! She told me she would send them back tomorrow, but I told her it's not her fault and I would be there to get them in the morning, I don't know if she will get 2 more tomorrow or not, guess I'll see when I get there. She also saved me a 1950 $100.00 bill, again, very cool of her. I'm going to tell her boss tomorrow what a great employee she is and that she has gone above and beyond for me. HH, Maverick.

What's wrong with re-rolling the coins in the same wrappers? That's what I do. I figure it would let people know that these boxes have already been searched. Also , do the yellow rolls produce well for you? That seems like the only you rolls I can get.

Thanks for the help,

Would anybody in their right mind try to crimp a roll again? i don't even know how it would work out. I have a hard time getting the OUT of the roll, let alone trying to get them recrimped. Would be a huge waste of time.

Nothing wrong with using the same wrappers, to each his own, I have had to in an emergency of being out of CWR's, I folded mine over though, not rerolled the edge back down. I don't search the yellow wraps normally, but have had them show up before in my boxes, never found anything in them. HH, Maverick.

I don't know if you're agreeing with me or not, if not, here ya go! THIS is what I don't like, and what I'm reciveing in my boxes. HH, Maverick. No, it is not me in the video, just one of the Youtube vids I hate.

Oh yeah, I have been getting Brinks boxes from Garda too. Usually already searched, but two boxes this week that were MWR and sealed, but the cents I picked up at the same time were definitely Garda. I think my area is serviced by Orlando too and I've heard there are some new hunters in my area ordering a huge volume of halves, so I wouldn't be surprised if the carriers are overwhelmed.

Hey thripp, I actually got an old box yesterday with familiar old Olive and White wraps in it not searched that was mixed in with the the 4 boxes I picked up yesterday and what do ya know, I got 1 Ben and 4 40's outta it! The box was all taped up also with clear packing tape and very broken, but the rolls hadn't been opened, the other 3 were dumps of black and white rolls. HH< Maverick.

That's great, I have gotten some olive boxes like that too, even though Brinks switched to black and white wrappers weeks ago. They usually have nothing but I think I have gotten a couple good ones out of them. I had a lot of finds this week with Brinks boxes that had halves in $25 wrappers turned inside out, which I haven't seen in a while. I guess they ran out of half wrappers again and used dollar wrappers.

I don't understand the video about taking the coins out of the MWR and putting them back in. Why re-crimp the roll at the end? It's quicker just to fold it over. Besides, it takes far less than a minute to slice the roll with a razor knife, check the edges, and seal it with tape. You have to buy a razor knife and tape, you slightly damage 1-2 reeds on the coins, and there is a higher risk of cutting yourself, but it's quicker.

Ya, I remember the insideout wrappers too, had some good finds in them, maybe they will show up this week. Yup, the rerolling down thing is stupid, but this is what I've had in some of my boxes lately, it seems pointless to me, but hey, if they wanna waste time doing this thats less time searching!

uh my boxes were like that but i got some silver out out of them??? i assumed the person weighs the rolls since some are too crimped to be redone...

Hey BS, I never thought about that, that could be a viable explanation in the repacks. My theory has always been that someone is just dumping Brinks boxes to Garda and vise versa, like everyone does, when they get an order for halves, they just grab some of the returned boxes and ship them out to get rid of them first. I've recieved dumped Loomis boxes from this branch too.

I think your original theory was better. The couriers are not non-profits, so they compete against each other. It's like Domino's calling Papa John's for a pizza and then delivering it. It just wouldn't happen.
