My wife and I hiked 1 mile round trip to get to the creek; 500 yds of it through chest-knee high stinging nettles.
Found a few jaspers, other misc chert, quartz and chalcedony. Rough for the tumbler. The biggest is banded chert (brown jasper). Should look good when done.

I'm not going through 500 yds. of nettles without a giant weed eater in front of me..

Don't know if they have it where you live, but up here the creeks banks are often loaded with Devil's Club..and it can be downright evil stuff.

Think I'd take my weed eater, gloves and an N95 mask and hack a path though that. Might take a few minutes, but it'd be worth it. :occasion14:

Just curious if you were makin the missus go first, kinda cut a trail? haha!
I wouldn’t dare. She was overly happy to follow me. 😆

Jewel weed will take away the sting/itch from insects, wasps, stinging nettle.
