Well good grief! It's about time!!
I finally proved to myself that my new Safari is not really allergic to silver coins after all!
I hit an old easement today in Centralia and coaxed this little beauty out of the ground. Wasn't very deep either, only about 5". My display was jumping around between +37 and +38 and when I pulled out the plug it was jumping between +36 and +38. It must have been sitting near on edge to be doing that. I didn't hear the "flutey" sound everyone talks about with Minelabs as I was using conductive tones in coin mode (I was in a trashy area), although this mode does have its own unique sound for coins in this range but not as high as the ferrous tones in relic or all metal mode.
Anyhoo, my silver drought ended just before I have to take off for California for about five days! Unfortunately I won't be doing any MDing there. See ya'll when I get back.
