- Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.

I went back in the mud yesterday and did better than expected. A bald eagle came out to survey my activities as well. Ive found a fair amount of v nickels here over the years all usully in various stages of crustynes. One 1904 non crusty one recently. The mud and clay really preserved this 1886 V nickel though. Also got on a tool tag or employee tag that says Acme Brass and Copper co, a 1937 philadelphia mint Washington, a worn out 188? Indian head, 5 musket balls (not pictured) , a shankless cast in shank button not shown and my favorite find the silver belt ring. There are 0 marks and it looks pretty old. From what I've read, Queen Victoria wore one to symbolize her
membership in the Order of the Garder. It was noticed by the public and then became popular. The patina and lack of marks has me feeling its been in the water a very long time. Any thoughts??
