Hey, I've been reading how much fun you guys are having and decided to give it a whirl today. I found this topic while surfing around as I mostly like to metal detect. I haven't done any bank roll hunting in almost 20 years and was under the impression that all the silver had been picked out by now. My first couple rolls of halves yieled a couple 40% then I went crazy. I ended up going to eight or nine banks got 35 roles. Ended up with seven total two of which are 90%. Now I've just got to find some poor bank to dump it all on. While I was at it, I got my bank to order me $1000 worth of halves. It should be interesting to see what pans out of that. I can honestly say that it was a lot of fun and yields a much better return than sweating with my metal detector and pulling up mostly nails and such. Davy Keith, South MS.

Welcome Dave & good job! I agree, it is very fun. Good luck on those two boxes and let us know how it turns out.

Hey lejeuene, I've never seen a better looking coin collector. You are hot!! (I hope my wife doesn't search my threads, hehe).

Are you using that old picture that came with your new wallet LJ ? The forum doesn't know you are really an 80 year old fogie from Fresno. Take care, Jim

Your story is a lot like mine, keithinvestigations. After retiring a year ago I tried metal detecting and had lots of fun being outdoors but not finding much and nothing with real value. Found about $5 in change over months of searching. With CRH I find goodies most every search and in three months have close to $1,000 in silver value with about $200 face value. :)
