Went Fishing - saw some Eagles

We went out to Witch Island for a little picnic and some mackerel fishing . There was a juvenile Eagle sitting in a dead tree , it was soon joined by it's parent .

On the way back to the mainland we caught 11 mackerel , we ate them that night for dinner .

Love that fist picture looks like a great spot for a picknic I went fishing on Saturday, caught nothing sat through a 3 hour thunderstome, had a Kingfisher land on my rod less the eight feet away, and a Otter swim right past me....made my day

Nice catch. We use mackerel for catfish bait. Hard to keep on the hook but works great.

Holy mackerel! nice catch on both the fish and the raptor. How large are mackerel?..........NGE
