You waited WAY too long. Early snowbird gets the worm! :laughing7:

Early snowbird gets worms! You should have seen the line at the gas station tonight.

I can only imagine the last minute panic down south. We are used to snow here in New York, and people STILL panic at the approach of a major snowstorm.

I have never seen it raided that bad before. That was the chicken section, but the pork and beef sections were just as bad. Oh and the firewood was all gone also.. That is what I really wanted LOL Guess I just need to save what I have in case the power goes out. No warm fire for fun tonight :(

The other people panicked before you did.

Got 7" of snow on the ground right now, 2 cases of beer and a beef roast in the crock pot. I'm set :laughing7:

I remember one year I went to sleep watching a cat. 2 hurricane knocking on our doorstep. Woke up and it was now a cat.4 maybe becoming a 5. Went outside to see one of my neighbors screaming through the stop sign at about 60mph. I walked back in the house and stated f this were goin south. Panic

In Canada, a lot of people have generators, good for camping/blackouts. The nightmare of warm beer and no hockey is one that is just to unimaginable ....lol.

Uncle Jeff........I think you fellas over in the ATL are fixing to get one hell of an icing. Thats what our local weather wizards are telling us.

I've got your back on that one bro! Got a generator and my beer is cold, but I'm not sure if the 'Canes will make it to the playoffs this year! :laughing7:

Jeff You didn't hear ?

My home heater just went out...space heater keeping my flat at a nice 64 in the living room. If the power goes out i'm going to visit my friends in the Florida Keys until my landlord fixes the heater and the flowers start to bloom! Oh yeah, i'll be bringing the detector as a necessity.

Let's see....I live in the hundred acre woods. Freddie Kruger is even afraid to come here. Anyway, Small house, semi well insulated but with decent air leaks so I won't die of fumes from whatever, especially the cat box.
Fuel tank for the furnace is full. Electric bill is paid. Have a 9,000 watt touch and start generator ready to go, with enough gas for 4 to 5 days. Got a kerosene heater with fuel for about 1 week. Both have been used in the last 5 days. The generator is LEGALLY, check that out, LEGALLY hooked into a transfer switch so all I have to do is push the button, then throw the eight breakers and most everything important in the house will power up.

Got a heater in my pet beta's tank so the little guy won't die and a pair of stand alone electric radiant heaters (the oil filled types.) Got about 10 pound of salt today and have already hired the guy to plow and do the walks.

Have enough food for me for a week. And cat food for 3 weeks. AND I HATE THESE BLASTED SNOWSTORMS AND POWER OUTAGES.

And if it gets really bad, saw this really fat squirrel outside today (and no I won't kill the squirrel). I'm already planning to hide under the bed with the cats if it gets that bad. And planning NOT to go to work Thursday and maybe Friday.

Ice storms are the worst. I would take a few feet of snow rather than ice any day. Sounds like you are all as ready as you can be. I'll keep my fingers crossed it isn't as bad as projected and that your power stays on.

It is the beginning of the month so the access cards were reloaded. So that might be why three shelves are empty. Lol

Good for me. I don't have to grocery shop for at least 1 more year, because I am still living off the rations that I stored when the Zombie Apocalypse was going to hit back in December 2012. :laughing7:
