I've got all the equipment top of the line my boats custom built for shallow waters up to 2ft to offshore, my 18" mailbox blows 12ft deep holes in 20ft of water. Full commercial dive gear no scuba so endless air, live color camera to TV feed on board, comms to diver, crane, Proton 4 Mag with newest upgrade with tablet gives you exact location of iron hits and size, I have a 30k tow fish side sonar scanner sees the bottom just like a picture live feed, aqua pulse detector, minelab 2, jw fisher pulse 8X. And way more gear, 20 years commercial diver, zero visibility and current don't effect me that's shit stops scuba divers which I am not. My area is not reseach where these things are located. Get me on a area and we ll find whatever is missing. Bringing it up not a problem. My boats out of pocket costs are less then 40.00 thats my lunch included. 500hp stroker motor boats a beast. But you cannot just "go look for treasure".
Florida State Law prohibits such activity within State Waters.

And if outside of State Waters... you then fall under other jurisdictions.

You cannot.... by law... disturb the bottoms of any submerged lands within State Jurisdictions... NOR can you remove or disturb any historical items or locations.
By definition anything 50 years of age or more is considered technically historical and therefore cannot be disturbed or removed.

I highly suggest you do your homework before embarking on such endeavors for you will find yourself in hot water ( and possibly jail) and any and all gear mentioned confiscated.
You can face serious consequences for any of the above mentioned infractions.

NOW... you can file with the State Archeology / Historical Resources Department for a permit to search.

I cannot help but notice when looking at your setups that you are geared up for sure.
I am not familiar with your make of boat... but the cabin seems to be in reverse of logical setup facing backwards with flat side fore ward.

Nope, it's a shamrock pilot house designed this way only difference I raised it 14" taller and made a back lift door. It's really nice, and it has AC in it. Screw Florida sun 8 stay cool when scanning the bottom. Tough boats

Hello Arc, or maybe fun wrecking internet Nazi with fun facts no one cares about. Just a heads up I own a Side Sonar scanning and salvage business. I can be out scanning for city cables, pipelines or whatever. Blow holes to locate 24" water mains to inspect them for overall conditions If they needs to be replaced. So no one taking a ounce of gear from me. I even use under water metal detectors to follow these cables or water mains. So no one can tell me I can't do shit out there. You know the answer to filing permits with Florida and how that works out. All good till you locate anything then no permit for excavation they steal the site. So probably stay in your lane let others have fun. You ever tried actually going out in the ocean to scan or look for anything? It's a damn miracle if you find anything with even top of the line gear out there. So try fun wrecking someone else's post. I want to save history not let it rot into the ocean lost forever.
