What a year!! Colonial photo-rama highlighting my season's recoveries.

I already posted a summary of how my season went so I'll be brief here and just let you check out the pics. The biggest surprises for me when putting these photos together were the surprising number of coppers dug, which is quite unusual for around here, plus the large quantity of early buckles that seemed to show up. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted, and now I have next fall to look forward to. Good luck to all those that can still get out.

that's an awesome year right there very envious of your finds

WTG Bill - I had fun on many of those outings. I will try and do one of mine next weekend.

Killer 1795 Cent, and kudos on your metal preservation.
Most people are so preoccupied with digging the silver that they overlook iron.

I forgot how nice looking the coppers you found this year are. The Charles II and the Liberty Cap are stunning!

Fantastic finds. Every year you keep pulling up the best colonial-period finds. Amazing.

An extremely impressive array of early colonial finds- I can't even imagine what your entire displays look like!!!\

Great finds Bill! Thanks for sharing...

Hi Bill,

It took me over 10 minutes to examine all the stuff in your photos. Really very nice items. Would you mind sharing with me the approximate age (date/period) of the pipe stems and parts? I'm trying to learn as much as I can and the guys on here are a great source of information.

Wow, just absolutely mind blowing. Some fantastic saves in those pics. Stared at those pics for over 20 minutes. Congrats on an amazing year!

Outstanding finds, for sure..

I wrote an article for one of the detecting magazines last fall about colonial clay pipes. If you PM me your email address I can shoot you a PDF copy. BTW - most of the bowls and stems in my post date from the late 1600s to early 1700s. I've also written quite a few other colonial related articles and can forward any or all if you're interested. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Joey. But I have to give you an assist on the Charles II farthing since that was your site.

Hats off to you Bill for the great photos and of course the recoveries themselves. I really like that early Farthing, most of my 20th C coppers don't look that good.
Best wishes, Herbie.

Congrats on another great season Bill. Your posts always keep me going through the cold winter months up here. You found some nice condition coppers which can be tough to do in your neck of the woods - first off, they are not common in your area, and second the soil is usually not kind to them. You may have to build a new warehouse to store all your finds!

Carl - with each passing year I seem to get more and more interested in the iron artifacts and preserving them for display. Now I think I'm really hooked after what I found this season. Thanks for your comment.

Very impressive collection for the year....some great looking coppers.

Crazy how many cut silvers you have...I,m still looking for my 1st one !!!!

Fantastic year so far for you ...best of luck for your fall hunt !!!

Some great saves Bill. That relic closet may need an addition added soon. The coppers are stunning and tough to come by, another memorable year to say the least. Looking forward to seeing the recent recoveries in person this fall.

Looks like you had an awesome year, very very nice indeed, Congrats
