They are "soda tops" but more specifically older ones that you could actually had to pull from the can before you drank out of it. They were dangerous because many people put them into the can after pulling them off and drinking the contents with it floating around in there

Today, the new ones along with the older ones are considered "pulltabs"

A soda can top would be the entire top of the can. A pull-tab is the "tab" that you pull to open the can. Unfortunately, many people enjoy tearing them off then throwing them on the ground.

Dean,

Well here's the scoop from someone who's been there and done that....lol....

The vast majority of gold rings are going to fall into the pull tab range....so if you want the gold be ready to dig a sh*t load of them....comes with the territory...

But once in awhile it does pay off.

Regards + HH

Bill

Someone said "Its not the tool you have, It's what you do with it that matters" -- Words of Wisdom in my eyes lol :-)

Did you ever find gold or silver with it?

Nice Liberty's and I really like the 2 cent piece.

All this from a 3 buck machine? or total?

Sucks that a fire sucked a lot of the life out of them but none the less I think they are awesome!!
