what are some good metal detectors for less than $600 for gold prospecting?

im not sure which metal detector will find me the small(and big) gold nuggets. i checked out the garrett at pro, the fisher gold bug, and the garrett scorpion gold stinger. tell me which you think is best for less than 600. thanks.

You want either a Fisher Goldbug; Tesoro Lobo Super Traq; or a Whites GMT. The AT Pro and the Scorpion are second rate in the goldfields and will only lead you to disappointment.

You'll be looking for a used machine on your budget.

The three that Terry mentioned are proven to work to grain weight and below, the AT Pro is not a gold machine and the AT Gold is very new and not proven yet. I wouldn't want to be one the guinea pigs to buy a new machine and be sorry. The Stinger is out dated, don't waste your money.
