What are the laws regarding parks directly across from Detroit?

I work near the bridge to Canada in Detroit and thought it would be lots of fun to head over across the bridge with my dad after work on day and dig some Canadian money for a change.

1) Is it legal to dig these parks? Even if I'm a foreigner?

2) Have they been pounded to death?

I checked a map and there are like 100 parks in that area. Looks great!

No bylaws that restrict metal detecting. The only place you can not MD is historical parks where the battle of 1812/13 took place. Good luck and post what you find!!
