What are these?

I found these bottle dump digging, does anyone know what they are?

The two bottles put me in mind of what they called opium bottles. I have no clue on the third item. How old was they dump where you found them?

The dump wasn't that old, probably 1950's or older. The glass on those bottles is so thin and there is no markings or anything, I thought they were perfume or cologne bottles.

The bottles look like they might have held injectable medicine. The tops would have been sealed with a rubber stopper. The other item might be a connector for rubber tubing.

Good thought on the connector. The indentations would keep the tubing from slipping off. If the dump was from the 50's it pretty much rules out opium bottles, so how about something like this, saccharin tablets. They still used to sell these when I worked at the drug store in the 70's although there wasn't much call for them. Wikipedia seems to indicate they were used by diabetics.

2 of them look like Homeopathic Tube Vials.

The first two remind me of the bottles veterinary medicine came in, without the top. And for some reason, crack pipe came to mind on the third one.

Your top two are just vintage pill bottles.I've dug quite a few of them.Purdy common in 1940-50's sites.The one looks like it has melted some in the burn pile maybe.

Ah thats it -melted. That had me confused a bit. yes I agree medicine and/or pill.

Yes,not Opium bottles....which is a misnomer anyway.Opium is a tar like substance that was smoked.Pure opium never came in a bottle.As pictured a medicinal pill which contained opium did however.

in the early 90's i was part of a haz-mat crew doing clean up at the old closed up
"Dunham T.B. hospital" on the outskirts of cincinnati.

we picked up thousands of syringe bottles just like in your pictures along with bone
fragments and human teeth. back in the old days when rules were slack, the hospitals
would send the medical waste through the incinerator or coal fired heating system for
just long enough to sterilize it and sometimes long enough to start to melt the glass
and distort it like yours. then take it to the creek or gully out back and throw it in. every
time it would rain hard, the stream bed would turn over and expose a whole new crop
of bottles. im guessing your bottles were heated long enough to melt the rubber seal
and aluminum band.

where ever you found them, im betting there are a lot more. just use caution when
dealing with old med. waste.

i also found one of those tube things in a dump it was in a closed mason jar and it smelled like perfume and there was a cork in the one end. i dont know if that helps u out any
