Cool find! Depending on the size,it may be a lead filled bridle rosette. Love the design!

I believe it's a bottle stopper. It would have had a cork attached to the underside.

GREAT assumptions ! I guess my initial reply would have been a "thingy bob" ! But what is it made of ? I think all of the responses are very possible except for the Reese s cup BUT it also has possibility's

When asking for an ID on an article put a size reference beside the item.
I've seen items that look one size but when it's referenced with a tape or a coin it blows all the ideas away.
I'm assuming this is the size of a quarter, and would guess it's a bottle stopper top cap. the cork was attached to the underside.

What are the dimension?

What does it weigh?

Is it made of lead or something else?
The bubble holes and cracks make it appear to be made of plaster-of-Paris or concrete.

Kerr manufactured a line of jelly glasses over many years, including small glasses (packer jars) that look like drinking glasses, and others that are shaped more like low, rounded custard or dessert bowls. On some of the earlier ones (not sure about the timeline) a so-called “Angel over crown” logo was marked on the bottom. Later variants of those types of jars may bear only a mold number, or the brand name “Kerr” in cursive lettering along with a mold number.

That's it. I think someone made a mold from one and poured lead into it.
