what could this be? Also the fresh, shiny, scrape mark on the second hole is from me picking around with it after I picked it up.

I maybe wrong but almost looks like where a crinoid was in the holes and fell out, if it's stone

Its slag glass from a old oven making iron. Not native american made. You can tell by the bubbles in it.
