WP_001495.webp Two of them have lead tags on them.

I was hunting a spot that use to be an old saw mill and i think i recall a piece of iron i dug that was very similar too yours may have been used in sawmill or logging, only a guess though. Good luck! :occasion14:

They look like the brackets that are attached to the rollers on sliding barn or garage door. Similar to these.

I doubt they were rollers. Then one in my hand had threaded inserts opposite the screws. similar to this,

So that tells me they most likely were mouted to wood.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!

They look like handles off of maybe a crate or tool box..... what kind of area were they found in? Any other relics nearby?

The 2 on the top right look as if they could be lock plates on a steamer trunk. :) Breezie

Looked at a bunch of "vintage chest latches" on Google pics, and I'm in agreement with Breezie. The others could
have been support for the other areas of the trunk. Not definite, but very plausible.

Those number tags looks very much like the electric company tags. Just a thought.

hmm, i did find these near them, WP_001216.webp Steamer trunk embellishments? The are seems to be a surface dump, lots of tin, a small amount of broken glass and crockery. WP_001167.webp

This explains the perty bits. I bet the the parts I originally posted were meant for substructure support. Maybe the tags were used for assembly and weren't visible due to a liner or such.
