What do I want for Christmas, they ask...and I don't know!!!

Hi,

I'm blessed to have folks asking me what I'd like for Christmas. I just got my first detector and a pinpointer. What else is there to ask for? Any good ideas out there? Are there things you have now that you wonder how you ever got along without? If you were going to spend $50 or less for a fellow hobbyist, what might you buy? What about $100?

Any adivce out there?

Thanks,

Mike

Smaller coil, coil covers, dust/rain covers for your detector. Just to name a few.

Wireless head phone set up , rechargable battery packs , coin supplies, old maps, books, coils.

Just some thoughts,

A set of headphones ( a definite need). Sand scoop for beaches. A brass probe for grassy estates where digging is critical. Knee pads (just on kneel on a sharp rock will prove this one). A subscription to WE&T mag.

I've been looking for a small nylon mesh bag with a drawstring top for ages. Why you ask? When you water hunt you can put the drawstring around your neck and drop your coins and tokens into the bag, one tug and you won't lose them! Saw one at a recent club water hunt. His wife made it for him but my wife don't sew! A nice cheap gift if you could find one. Or how about coil covers? A brass probe? One of those strap thingys that you use to take the weight off a heavy detector when you are swinging it? A Gator digging tool or the expensive one (forget what it's called)? Ditto headphones, a must have. A good clear magnifying glass? A coin ID book? A button ID book? A subscription to East West or other TH mag? Any TH book? And a partridge in a ........oops got carried away! Monty

Buy some coins and bury them in your hard an make them go looking for their presents ;)

Or you could find them a primo hunting spot.

Or give them a free pass for the right to pick a day that you go hunting together and they can have your finds for the day ;)

I have the same wonderful problem.

I've got so much already and I'm not really into ties all that much.

I tell them to buy me PayPal gift certificates.

Then I can get what I want when I want it.

It's just too cool 8)

Got my Christmas wish.

Oldest son has been in military for about 9 years; has been home but never during the Christmas period, will
be home this year, coming in on the 22nd.

That's all that's important. The entire family together for the Christmas season.
