Painting on old carpenter handsaws was pretty popular around here...
And they are easier to find than skulls!

I sure would like to see what kind of wind chime is a big seller...

That would be fun to make.

Yesterday, I was about to turn off the heater, for the year.
Today, it started out 'take pictures of flowers', then it rained. and still is!
(it cost me a couple hundred in losses so far...)
But the flowers are nice!

Ha! Took apart the earrings I first posted, redid them as got more experience, then they sold.
I don't know that we're making any money, but soon the craft store will add on a new wing.

I guess you could say I make this. I reload all my own ammunition for about 35 different calibers from 7.62 Russian Pistol to .45-70 rifle. I have harvested countless game animals and every one of them was taken with one of my reloads. I have worked up hundreds of test loads and tested and documented the results. The main goal was/is accuracy first and then velocity/killing power second. A combination of both is required for the humain harvesting of game animals. I also shoot in competiton with hi-power military bolt action rifles.

While at the police department detective division I did forensic hypnosis to help identify and convict felony suspects, including homicide, sex crimes, robberies and theft crimes. We called that "making a case" so I guess I made that too? Monty

I just started working with a 7.62x54R
It's kinda different! But NOT like that Russian revolver!!!!!

The little Russian revolver is unique in that when it is cocked the cylinder slides forward and the nose of the bullet and case actually goes into the barrel. Cases are very expensive because they are scarce so I make my own out of .32-20 by cutting and trimming them. It is actually a .32 caliber while 7.62 (.308) is the designation. I don't think a lot of the early cartridges were measured too accurately. I tried to harvest a deer with all of my military calibers and I have taken two with the 7.62X54 Russian. rmptr, I guess you are finding that most 7.62X 54Rs are not 30 caliber but the bores mike out about .310 to .312". I went from a .308 to a .311 diameter bullet and the accuracy increased amazingly. Mike your bore if you haven't already. Monty

(I think I'd get a box or two of Seliers & Beloit factory brass made to specs if I ever got one.
Then I'd reload that.)

The 91/30 sure is an interesting rifle.
Still haven't slugged it, but I bought a .303 British collet neck sizing die for it.
I'm learning about remanufacturing steel Berdan cases now.

Soon as I get the primer situation figgered, I will probably paper patch for a while.
I recently swapped for a small lathe. I might try to make my own bullet mold.
Never tried anything like that before...
Near as I can tell, it's all about grinding the proper tool bit to make the cut.
