Detector(s) used

Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
The other day when I walking the two old home sites, I picked this rock up, I felt it did not belong for some reason. When I am detecting I am always looking at the ground, I never really look for native sites but some times you come across something that might be of that nature. As you can see the rock has been inscribed with lines to mean some thing, It might be 50 or 500 years. It kind of looks like an H but who knows for sure what it might mean. Let me know what you think. NT.

If you found that in Canada, you might want to post the picture in the North American Pre-Colonial Artifacts. It looks like what we call grinding stones. I've seen some with an "X" carved in the top. I'm not sure what purpose it served.

Try looking up bola stones and see what you think

The lines look like plow damage to me. I see a lot of that here where I live. Lightman
