All Treasure Hunting
Doing some testing this week.
Brought in some gold / cons from British Columbia area.
EVERY piece of their gold is super flat, even the 100 - 200 mesh stuff.

These pics are under about 200x microscope.
The gold is on a Q-Tip
It was all screened through a 100 mesh screen.
So... the BIG gold is 100 mesh the rest is smaller.

Pretty cool pics.

very nice! gather up a pound or so of that and send it to me for further research

What are the dark specs? If they are not gold how do you get them out?

BTW, I just ordered my first 3 bags.

The black specs are an assortment of magnetic material a.k.a. Black sand. I would usually just take a magnet and it comes off.

Thanks for posting this Doc. That is the stuff I work with and the "fine gold recovery tool" it's on is what I use to pull it out of the pan or sluice. The Q Tip is fast, easy, cheap and cuts down on panning time. I'm still waiting to find one that is too heavy to stick. Thanks too on the 100 mesh mention. I often wondered what size to get. Good stuff!
