Someone on here or another forum posted a thread about their personal best 8 ring day. Out of curiosity what lets hear your personal bests.

Mine total ring day count is 5 with only 1 being gold rest were silver.

I've had several 2 gold hunts.

I've had a 2 diamond ring gold ring day.

Best find to date was the .80ct diamond wedding ring appraised at $5700.00

I really don't count clad so I have no idea what that count would be.

Best day was small gold ring 10k. But I'm optimistic that I have found a good area. Just need right tide and less rough water.

WOW . Re: your best day and the wedding ring.......

My best so far has been a big chunky 14k gold mens ring weighing in at 13+ grams.

My best was a man's ring. It was 21 grams of 14K with a 2 1/4 diamond solitair. Wife has the stone in a new setting appraised at $16,000.

I have found lots of items but the best find I ever had was when I hunted a pre civil war farm in Louisiana. The owner, Mr. Babin, was 93 years old. I asked him if he had anything he lost on the property because I would like to keep some items. He told me he had lost his wedding ring 60 years ago. I hunted that area first and found his ring. When I found it I asked him, "is this what you lost?' Mr. Babin started crying and went into the house and said to his wife " Honey you remember the ring you bought me?'

WOW! Nice finds guys. I am kind of like Les in that sometimes your best find is the one you return. I found one of my best last year at Wilmington Beach in N.C. when a young lady had lost her .8 carrat solitare ring and wedding band in 18k white gold. Got both rings on one scoop. Seeing her happiness was one of those moments you never forget.

Most rings in a day: hunting Corrolla Beach in N.C. Got my Fisher Cz6a years ago. Went to this beach first day with it. The beach was scoured of sand ( wish I knew then what I know now ). Hot rocks everywhere. Detector would pick up twenty signals every swing. Pinpoint and no target. Found I could only hunt in pinpoint, thumb on pinpoint button the entire time I hunted. Get a signal in pinpoint, let go of pinpoint and see what the signal was, then pinpoint and dig. All targets were stratified by weight. Top of high tide line pull tabs. Three foot down slope nothing but pennies. Three feet down, dimes. Then nickles, then quarters, and three feet down at waters edge, nothing but silver rings. Wish I had had a water detector then. Never hit a beach like that since. That day I got seven silver rings in the first hour. Silver was not worth much then, so I decided to dig quarters. In a staight line down the beach in the next eleven hours I dug nothing but quarters. $42.50 in quarters to be exact. Best ring ever dug may have been a womans 14k white gold set that has around 2 carrats of diamonds. Getting it and a mans white gold with 74 diamons found last fall appraised next week. Wish I had had that water detector and experience that day in Corrolla. DUMB, DUMB,DUMB!

Some amazing hunts above. My best ring day is 5 rings, with only 0.9g gold. However, my best hunt was a woman's 1ct wedding set. Quite nice, but nothing compared with others I have seen above. One can only hope to improve on the best hunt each year........

My best day was a fresh water hunt. I found 3 gold rings in about a 6 inch wide spot. One was an engagement ring that had a .33 carat diamond solitaire. It retailed for about $1200.00 but the jeweler offered me $85.00 for it, lol

Well my best hunt was on a Saturday about 12 yrs ago. I discovered the potential of this place after work one day when i got in the water and my first hit was a large silver ring. Moving along since time was short I saw a sparkle near the edge of the water. When I walked over to the spot, rolling back in forth was this beautiful ruby waterfall ring, I just reached down and picked it up! The next day of course was Saturday, starting early in the morn till eve I pulled 14 rings, 11 were gold and 3 silver! I also had a 7 ring find in one day 6 or 7 yrs ago at the same location. The only thing other than that was an old house I recieved permission from Mrs. Wilson. I asked (like all places i hunt) if there was anything that she might have lost. Her children had bought her a diamond waterfall ring several yrs earlier and she did'nt have the heart to tell them that she had lost it. I was not out in the yard 10 minutes when I located it. I said " Mrs Wilson will you help me". I let her pull back the plug and tears just started rolling down her face. That is the best feeling in the world! Yeah, I no people will doubt my 14 ring day, thats ok, I no what I did.

My best ring day was 14 rings... 9 silver, 5 junkers.
Best VALUE was 2 Platinum rings weighing in over 1/2 ounce
Most money was over 10,000 Yen ($125 usd) in one hunt
Most silver in one hunt was over 50 grams

My best day for bling was a two gold ring day. Hunting the wet at low tide on a beach overrun with people metal detecting. I stopped to talk with one vet hunter who told me he absolutely vacuumed the beach just to my north so not to waste my time there. I had just done the same on the beach to the south and had one ring in the pouch already. I went north and a few minutes later gold ring #two was in the scoop! Sweet!!!!!

As a rookie the lesson was don't assume anything.

14 kt wedding band...returned to owner (he asked us to look for it on the beach and we found it).

Found a Gold Watch, it was broke, but the gold wasnt! Made some pretty nice cash off that deal!!!!

Actually, my best day is any day I wake up looking at the grass from above.
