Great job! But what is CRH? I'm new to this.

Your kidding, right.
CRH is coin roll hunting.

Happy Hunting!

Mr. G,,,,,, nice pile of silver you have there. Welcome to a fun but addictive hobby.

That is one awesome Benji... :o :o

I would have to say that anyone would turn into a CRH monster after a score like that. Congrats!

It's hard to tell from the pics, but either that Franklin is a Proof or it's polished (or it's just the pics, but in the one with the other Franklins, you can see the difference).

it looks like a proof but i thought that the proofs have an "s" mint mark? i know it wasnt polished there are no fine scratches on it anywhere. its just a little smudged from fingerprints. this is one shiny coin, thats what makes it so hard to get a pic. it reflects all light and if i try to block the light my reflection shows on the coin in the pic. im going to try natural sunlight after work and see how it comes out. i would really like to show everyone the bell lines so they can give an opinion on whether or not they are full bell lines or not. if not im getting another camera

The camera manufacturers ought to give TN.com some kind of kickback....cause once you are hooked, then the next step is to go get a camera with macro capability. Nikon, Olumpus, etc. should be glad us CRH'ers like to snap close-ups of our finds! ;D

Did you notice very few dupe coins. Looks like someone turned in grandpa's coin collection.

Congrats, you are hooked. ;D

The Frankies do NOT have S mints on the proof version of coins, so you could have one. Its hard to tell from the images, but it looks like it might be dipped... it looks a lot like a mercury dip to me with that kind of shine. The frankie proofs I have seen all have a different form of shine to them...

Grats on the sweet haul!

the camera i was using had a macro but it made no difference

i thought the same thing as i was looking through them.

thanks for the info dave...it does have a brilliant shine to it. i hope it isnt mercury dipped. that still wouldnt account for the fine detail this coin shows. im leaning towards "proof" although i have to agree about the shine though it doesnt look like other proofs i have seen on the net. thiers has that cartwheel look. this is like a mirror. wish i had a coin dealer around here to check it out. probably have to look downtown. in the meantime i'll work on some closeups.
oh by the way does anyone know what exactly determines how visible the bell lines have to be to be a FBL? it seems the ones that i have seen on line have less visible lines than the one i have......

I found 4 of them earlier this year, 2 in 2 boxes 1 week apart. Do they look like this?

yes and no.....yours look cloudy....like they were cleaned maybe?......mine looks shiny and clear....you can see yourself in it......

I dont think my photos do the coins justice, they are clear and mirror looking. For sure proofs.

captain....yours do look a lot like mine...especially the '64...but yeah it looks like i have a proof coin....thanks for all the help and info everyone....now i have a problem....the penny arcade at the bank is down and i cant cash in the remaining coins so i can get MORE HALVES ;D....oh well i guess i'll have to wait, theyre supposed to have it fixed today....then its off to the banks :evil6: :evil6: :evil6:

question......what if it was dipped in mercury...wouldn't that make it dangerous to handle?
