I am still trying to figure out what the clasp? is.? But here is a picture of the token and button found about 6 feet apart from each other about 5" deep.? I tracked the trade token down to coming from Bellaire, Ohio it is from E.B. Winans & Company.? They ran a dry good notion store in Bellaire.? Coinage was scarce so they used the token as change and the soldiers could use them at the store.? I also found out that E.B. Winans was also the mayor there at that time.? The button is a Union Army Eagle? Enlisted button (a Waterbury).? It is neat to find things in your own back yard.? My family has lived here since the 1880s.? I really enjoy this site, I didn't want to close out last night.? Some postings were informative and some made me laugh out loud.? Thanks.? And if anyone has a guess to the clasp.? Let me hear.? BRINK? HH
