Found this today. It's not real heavy actually it's fairly light. Made of some sort of metal. Found around civil war site. Please help. Was gonna throw away but just got curious as to what it was. Thanks for the help. Dalton

Did you find it with a metal detector? Might help to figure what it is made of. My only guess is a battery jar lid But that depends on what its made from.

Yes found it with detector in a area where have found lots of civil war stuff only. I think it's made of some lightweight material like graphite or something. It's dark metal so doubt aluminum. And it's not pot or cast
