Is it electric or oil (wick) driven?

It is electric. Doesnt appear to have visible markings. But havent tried to take it apart yet. Again thank you for any kind of help

My aunt (deceased) had two of em, I always thought they were so pretty. I looked under vintage lamps from the 40's when I found one picture, clicked on it & found many. I would like to thank everyone for the help given. Now i have another mind boggler for me. It is a coin that says republica mexicana on one side and8r go 1835 p j 10 ds20 gs on the other. Sorry about the lousy photos in advance. Any info on what it might be worth would be great. Thank you

that lamp may be fostoria...google fostoria lamps...some of em go for couple hundred bucks or more....after lookin i think its fostoria

Your lamp is often referred to as a "Gone With The Wind" lamp. Many older kerosene lamps were converted to electric also, just a little food for thought. Yours is not a Fostoria lamp, but it is a parlor or hurricane lamp. Nice 8 reales coin too.
