I have tried to clean it up so I could read the name, But can only see a few letters. That bottom part likes it was made to set in something, And who knows what the eyelet on top is for.

It looks like a clapper for a bell. I don't think it is but it looks like one.

With better pics we can figure out the name.

Anybody have any idea what this is? Found it at a old home site. Didn't find anything good and this is the most interesting thing I dug up. I have an idea what it may be but want to know what you think it is. My AT Pro. VDI was about 85.

Mike in Arkansas.

This was found in the South California desert some years ago. In a place you wouldn't think you would find anything. It's solid steal. Any idea what it is or how old?

What are the letters on the front of the iron man?

It's obviously a bust, made to commemorate someone of public notoriety. I would suggest using some alternate light sources to read his name.

Try rubbing some chalk on it, and then clean off the high spots. He might be a saint, who knows.
