What is the best machine for lighter gold in saltwater?

I don't think 11.6 grams is an insignificant amount of gold, but that is just me!

I am not here to bash Minelabs, I am just telling the truth as I see it. Will I sell it? Not until I see something better that I can afford.

Are people missing a lot of gold with the excalibur? Yes

Are they finding a lot of gold? Some are.

Are some people so sold on it they won't speak the truth? Maybe.

Does it null iron well? Yes.

Are there any other choices?

So far the only one recommended is the AQUAsound. Tiger Shark is mentioned but what about its stability in the salt?

I really don't think you can say Excal users are missing a lot of gold. Mine will see a gold chain if it is bunched up, if it has a large lobster clasp, or if it has anything hanging from it.

I have hunted with hunters who were using PI's when I first started, I was finding a lot more gold then they were, why, because they were spending a lots of their time digging deep holes for tiny pieces of iron. If you look at the time spent vs the finds you will find. Excal users are finding more simply because they are not digging every piece of iron on the beach.

Beach Hunter ID and Beach Hunter 300 both do good in salt water. I had trouble with my BHID leaking and traded it, but others have no problems....
