What is the best metal detector on the market?

Keep hearing the MAKRO RACER?????

Who dug up this old thread?

The answer is always the same. "For me, it's mine"

Same as asking what's the best truck. Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. It's the one that you are comfortable with and you understand it's language. And everyone will have a different reason there's is the best. Get the highest review rated one in your budget.:occasion14:

Don't always trust reviews some of the best reviewed machines I hated . Best to allways try before u buy . If u can't well then it's a crap shoot imo

Cut to the chase I have used several detectors and if you have the money get the CTX3030.
That way you dont waste your time looking for the ideal detector for you and waste money
buying and trading detectors.

Wonder if Minelab GPZ7000 users would agree the CTX3030 is best (or better).

Detector roulette is only necessary for the hard to please. I've played with a 3030 and like mine better. Lighter and easier.

There is no answer everyone will agree on.

That's especially that case with one brand that seems to have an online army, and it's not Minelab.

I think I know the one u speak of its AT every competition hunt I've been in .2:1 to every other machine there :)

The best machine is the one that's coming out next month......this is always the answer. There will always be a "better"unit on its way.

Interested in seeing what the next Minelab flagship model is going to look like and if affordable My guess is something that starts with the best features of the CTX and EQX but with something new.

Hi Guys,

New to this and looking to buy my first metal detector specifically to find gold, what is the absolute best one?

Thanks

Your mind!

This is your first and most important tool in your THing toolkit.

This encompasses research about detectors, locations and techniques, and educate yourself about detecting.
