It gave me a hell of a fight, it was beneath a root and I struggled for like 15-20mins I was not giving up, but no idea it definitely not a large cent

That's an interesting one. Looks Victorian to me? Curious to see if anyone is able to ID it.

thats is old I would have chopped that tree down to get that out lol

Yes the other side i can't make anything out just the indentation of what's on the side shown. I'm not home this second but will snap a good photo with my wife's iPhone this one is the 5

That's pretty neat! Have no idea what it is but I like it! Nice find! :icon_thumleft:

New one on me, I am thinking it is not a coin.

Cool find. I don't believe it is a coin either.

Looks like the classic Susan B. Anthony profile, only reversed. Searched for it, couldn't find.

It doesn't appear to have writing or numbers on it. Probably a privately made copper medal or token.
The way the image is visible from the back I would say it was hammered by hand, not made with dies.

Edit: I just noticed the star over the woman's forehead and the hair style (Bun) seems to be latter half of the 1800's.

Betsy Ross, Molly Pitcher? Nice find anyway. Great if you could clean it up a bit!

Not sure it's bun hair-do or one of those stocking hats they wore revolutionary period.

I did a Google search "organizations in the 1800's with symbolism using a five pointed star " and came up with this, which is interesting and may be relevant.
STAR LINK

(For those upset by stars, just skip to the 5th paragraph)

I then searched "1850s geographic location of Freemason Rob Morris and his wife "

Bob Morris LINK

Which may also be relevant.

(Couldn't find any similar Freemason tokens but I did find a similar likeness for a hair style on a
German Hospital "Mule" token coin from 1850.
"Germany: Jewish Hospital in Hamburg/Salomon Heine, 1841 medal mule with reverse of Queen Victoria (1850), in bronze; size: 23mm; weight: 3.8g. Obverse: re-engraved version of 1841 original with design of hospital and text dedicating its 1841 construction ")

EDIT: To see if there is any details hiding, you might try soaking in Hydrogen peroxide to remove some of the dirt and verdi.

I know it would be a bit small, but COULD it have been the lid to a compact? I don't know, just saying....
