My apologies for another novice question. Iā€™m in the woods squirrel hunting, here in Northeast Georgia and spotted this. Iā€™ve gotten in the habit of at least picking up anything that looks remotely like an artifact, this past year since I got interested. The guy Iā€™m with thinks this is some sort of tool and I decided to post here for opinions, before I go to the trouble of even bringing it out of the woods with me. Is this some sort of drill or tool? Or just a rock?

It is not the correct material that would hold up for any task required at the time. It looks like it would crumble under light stress.
