My apologies for another novice question. I’m in the woods squirrel hunting, here in Northeast Georgia and spotted this. I’ve gotten in the habit of at least picking up anything that looks remotely like an artifact, this past year since I got interested. The guy I’m with thinks this is some sort of tool and I decided to post here for opinions, before I go to the trouble of even bringing it out of the woods with me. Is this some sort of drill or tool? Or just a rock?

Thanks much guys, always appreciate the advice.

But... it is an interesting stone! I would probably take it home either way! Thanks for sharing with us.

It is not the correct material that would hold up for any task required at the time. It looks like it would crumble under light stress.

Sorry, not an artifact, just a pointed rock.
