Is it cedar?

Maybe an over-the-top fancy cedar block rack to keep your closet smelling fresh? :dontknow:

I'd be surprised if it weren't a musical instrument. What did you use to try and make a note? You'd need a "drumstick" (for lack of a better term) that has a solid wooden ball at one end. Or something similar as a substitute, but it should be wood.

It might be a musical instrument but I'm not sure. All of the "bars" appear to be the same size and thickness. How would it produce a musical scale?

With what looks like a bowl shaped gap behind it and a small bit of space between I wonder if it was meant to have things wrapped around each block that you could then pull out to access... like a tie or some fancy thread or something?

I also thought "tie rack" initially. But it's ridiculous for that - not that ridiculous can stop someone from building something...

Are all the blocks identical? I wondered if it could be wood stain or finish samples.

I was thinking tie or sock press......Some people are eccentric you never know, I've known people who ironed their socks! With the internet there are a ton of companies that cater to stuff like this
